HOW MANY APPLICANTS COME TO YOUR JOB FAIRES?
Although job fair attendance can vary from event to event, we consistently bring in more attendees that most job fair companies. Typically, you can expect a minimum attendance of 2,000-2,500 (sometimes more) in the Hayward area, and around the 2,000 number on the Peninsula area. These are two completely different employment markets.

WHAT IS THE APPLICANT MIX?
The applicant mix is as varied as the Bay Area itself. We draw very strongly from all ethnic groups, and a variety of skills. Human Resources professionals consistently comment on the draw and the diversity.

HOW DO WE PROMOTE THESE EVENTS?
The newspaper and job fair combination is powerful. In addition to using our own internal resources for promoting job fair events, we also recruit from outside sources. We use:

  1. A mix of newspapers including Contra Costa Times, Sacramento County Times, San Mateo Daily News, Palo Alto Daily News, and a number of targeted local papers
  2. A variety of ethnic newspapers
  3. Flyers distributed throughout the community
  4. Press releases sent to Bay Area newspapers
  5. Emails sent to a list of interested, previous job fair participants
  6. Radio (on a occasion)
